And here Tibet really indulges in the found sound collage terrorism that characterised his prior work, yet does so in such a quiet and understated way that it feels like the equivalent to a solo acoustic number.
Current 93, "Time Stands Still" => "(Untitled)" (ibid).
It's cool how the CD bonuses actually add to the album's progression rather than detract from it, serving as a kind of epilogue to the main LP. "Time Stands Still" is really a neat precursor to some of the weird folky elements on Christ and the Pale Queens, in particular, but with that lo-fi out-of-time-and-space feeling that unites much of the rest of the LP.
I finally got the deluxe reissues of Alarma, Doppelgänger, and Vox Humana. Now I just have to wait a few years for Fearful Symmetry to get this treatment.

Deeply personal and esoteric albums about death seem to be a genre unto themselves. I also seem to be drawn to them on principle.

From the creepily childish pseudo-hymn to the sardonic folk fragment to the first full song on the album (and maybe my favourite).
Lala lala lalala la...
I love mediaeval prophecies.
Screw it, *this* might be my favourite song on the album, although this whole suite is fantastic. This is my catnip.
Go read the lyrics. They are wonderful.

Maybe that other album next. Hmmmm.

for when the apocalypse comes and you need to be fabulous
Haven't given this a listen in all too long. Snagged this album based on this post alone.
Resumed after a break.
Love the incorporation of elements from "Rosy Star Tears from Heaven" in there. And hey, howdy, Jhonn!
I like this song. vOv
:')
I got the rest, but "ambient" escaped me. >_>
