Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
Huh, really? Wonder why that is...
...Wait, they used to recommend that Mew learn Explosion? Poor thing!
^ Apparently the 5th gen meta game has not been kind to it
Still though, Mew's main advantage is that it is unpredictable. That and a solid 600 BST is why it was an Uber
Yet somehow it gets a fall from grace, yet Celebi - same base stats, but with a Grass/Psychic typing and less versatility - stays in OU
Only thing I can think of is if the 5th generation TMs just aren't as good, but even if that was true, if you have a Mew from Generation 4 (only way you can get Mew anyways, right now), then it doesn't matter. After all, Mew could then get any of the third, fourth, or fifth generation TMs in any combination. This includes Ranch Mew, which I think had the special attack Synthesis. And there was a Move Tutor in XD Gale of Darkness that taught Mew any attack on a HUGE list, further augmenting that cat's versatility
I mean, come on, what could threaten THAT level of versatility?

Dragon Tail, apparently. I can kind of understand how that would be effective; you're basically whacking Mew out of the battle and bringing in someone else who has a good chance of not being as well-prepared.

I'm starting to think I really should've stopped and gotten myself one in my last playthrough of White. Oh well, there's always Black 2 and White 2.
Speaking of which, it's funny how we were talking about Dunsparce for the better half of the last page, and guess who's gonna be in Black 2 and White 2? Pretty early on, too -- before the second gym.

Ooh, nice! Hope you like it!
Who are you planning on catching? I assume that you want a Minccino, but I'm curious to know what else strikes your fancy.
I kind of want to pick up a Moustache Dog because he has a very impressive moustache. And I will probably also grab that Gurren Lagaan Mole and the awesome Chandelier Ghost if possible.
Awwww, I just realized that I can't get 'MERICA BIRD. Oh well.

All three of those are pretty strong, from what I've heard. Personally, I had a lot of fun playing with Krookodile, Archeops, and Cofagrigus. But in the end, you are the one who gets to pick which ones you like best.
If you like this, are you planning on getting the second game? Maybe not as soon as it comes out, but once you're able to get it.

Argh, being torn between two starters can be frustrating.
On the one hand, Oshawott's stronger offensively, and Water-types are hard to come by in Black and White 1. But at the same time, Snivy has pretty good defenses and learns some useful moves a little later. I hope that helps!

I think it's funny that two of the songs in the "2.B.A. Master" album referenced how overpowered Psychic was in Generation I. I don't mind that Psychic's not at the top of the food chain anymore, though. I still like a good number of Pokémon of that type.
I like a lot of the Kanto Gym Leaders, too. Of course, Brock and Misty have the nostalgia factor going for them. But apart from them, I actually really like Erika, Sabrina, and Blaine.

D'aww! Woobat's cute, and so is his evolution. Though there is one thing about the design that bothers me. I don't like how Woobat only has one front tooth.
In other news, today I made a shortlist of Pokémon I might want in Black and White 2. This "short"-list is about 45 entries long. Granted, that's still only about a third of what's available, but still. At least I have 3 or 4 months to decide.

Whoops, I probably should have clarified. I counted the entire evolution family as one Pokémon. If I actually go in and count every evolution stage up, it's more like 90 or 95.
Enid got killed by Flare Blitz. From a Sheer Power Darmanitan. That used fucking Belly Drum
I can't counter that! I couldn't switch as it would knock out ANYTHING I threw at it! Just... Fuck! Now I have to train TWO level 30's to level 50! And several 40-45's to 50. And a 52 to 57. And I can't use those trainers anymore as they have those fuckers. Which means I'm stuck grinding against fucking Audino which LOVE never showing the fuck up!

Crmirnauc: ...Wow. It's sounding like you've had almost the most horrible luck possible short of actually losing the challenge. Sorry about that.
Lumine: Heh. Even if it was only level 255 (which I think was possible through glitches in RBY), you'd be the supreme ruler of the playground.

Perhaps. Are you willing to live in the depths of a cave populated by powerful wild Pokémon?

^^Their evolved form is decently powerful, from what I've heard. And Galvantula is still kinda cute.
^^^Maybe just one. You'll know them when you see them; they're wearing a Poké Ball hat. After that, you can go to your favorite hangout spot and let them come visit you there.

I like Milotic though!!

Also, I was really surprised with how good my Maractus was on my first playthrough.
She was like my best team member hands down.
FireRed/LeafGreen are better, more places to go, more current mechanics.
BW2's regional dex goes up to 300

GRAGH!
I was looking forward to a Volcarona, though =/
