a lot of these combos this guy is spitballing really just do seem to be "hey, here's a way to make everyone you play against want to stab your face".
Turns out if you play a bunch of extra turn and extra combat step effects, you can pretty much cast your whole deck the first time you attack with Narset. Plus, she’s immune to spot removal.
why
I was more jaw-dropped by the fact that it recommended the Mikaeus+Triskelion combo, AKA one of the most cliche ways to get combo'd out in EDH.
Arguing about what's on it that shouldn't be is one thing but sitting down, combing through every card in the game, and writing your own, is an entirely different matter.

I wasn't why'ing at the OP'edness, just that that's so....boring?
like it'd be fun once, and then never again.
idk to me Magic is a flashy and comparatively slow game, I don't understand the competitive drive many of its players seem to have to win only in ways that can be done in 5 turns or less.
I doubt the person whom you're talking about actually did that. When you want something to be put on the banlist, it's usually because you've seen it far, far too many times in the arenas in which you play.

The worst thing is that Commander is the slowest and most methodical of all the formats. I mean, if you want to win on turn 2, then you play competitive Vintage/Legacy; that's what they're for.
^ Eh, I can kind of get that. Arguing about the banlist is a time-honored tradition. Personally, I'd like Merieke to be placed on there forever and Primeval Titan to get reinstated.
I love Prime-Time, but it is a lot more gamewarping than it seems. EDH is one of the few formats that can actually take full advantage of its ability to ramp into infinity, and all that deck-thinning really helps too.
(That said, I actually prefer Sun Titan, to the extent where after a long period of playing white EDH decks I started having to remind myself I couldn't always count on being able to recur anything with less than 3 CMC).
That's where the taking pants off rules comes from. At a prerelease (possibly internal to wizards) for Unglued, someone declared they'd remove their pants in response to an opponent declaring an attack with Hurloon Wrangler

Will probably end up being part of the 99 in Commander, probably in dredge decks that can actually make use of the first ability.
Second ability, well, Mindslaver's obviously quicker, and since the affect triggers on cast rather than ETB, Mindslaver's much easier to use recursively. I suppose a blue deck with a bunch of bounce cards could abuse it properly.
I said it on tumblr, but it bears repeating: the only reason she has protection from instants is so this time, no one can say "haha, all you have to do is make her trip on a banana peel, lol".
That's literally the only defense Innistrad had against her. They're screwed.

ooooooohhhhhhhhhhh i get it now!! she has protection from instants, so your opponents can't respond, then you take their turn and use all of their removal on their stuff, or dump it with their madness enablers!

Well the old one had protection from coloured spells so you couldn't do that anyway. This is largely a downgrade unless there's some colourless instant I'm forgetting that could kill her. Protection from instants, specifically, is presumably to stop your opponent from doing anything before the turn you control them, yeah. Though Stasis Snare still works.
The fact that your opponent gets a free turn after the slaver turn is nice in that it shuts down most ways that you could actually lock your opponent out forever. She still comes shockingly close to just reading "win the game", though, and with a cost-reducing ability to boot. Playing against Tron in Modern is going to suck even more than it already does.
The old Emrakul was also 15/15, so Tragic Slip wouldn't have stopped her anyway. But it could still bring down Ulamog and Kozilek, so it was truly Innistrad's last, best hope against the Titans.

712.9. A player may gain control of himself or herself. That player will make his or her own decisions and choices as normal.
