"It is a matter of grave importance that Fairy tales should be respected.... Whosoever alters them to suit his own opinions, whatever they are, is guilty, to our thinking, of an act of presumption, and appropriates to himself what does not belong to him." -- Charles Dickens
Magic has always emphasized that there aren't good guys and bad guys. There's just...
I'm expecting (Or at least, wishing for) a timetwister, meself, although I guess it's going to be a cycle, so.
Either way, a miraculous Lotus wouldn't make much sense outside of its Miracle thing, as you'd have to cost it much higher. At least, it would be cool, but not too playable, imo.
On another note, I was wondering what peoples thought about Mikeas the Unhallowed as an EDH commander?
I've tried quite a few times to make a Legacy Zombie tribal deck, but it's never worked out too well for me. I have all these scrummy cards but nothing to do with them and so I thought I'd make a tribal EDH deck. I'm trying to decide between between Glissa the Traitor or Mikeaus. Any thoughts?
Well, tribal isn't as interesting to me in EDH unless the commander has a tribal bonus. Glissa works better with artifacts, and Mikey is just as good with other non-humans. I think I might be more interested to see what a person might come up with for the latter more than the former.
Thanks Gelzo. I wanted to see what it was like making a mono-coloured deck too. So this should be interesting. I guess you're right in that it's not necessary to have a zombie deck revolving around a commander who doesn't immediately benefit them.
So, I finally have a real-life EDH deck -- an actual deck this time.
It turns out that my friend got me a blue-green Phyrexian deck, which means infect, infect, infect, infect. It's apparently so powerful that my friends don't even want to go up against it.
I also got this beauty in the booster pack, which kind of sucks because I don't have enough black mana. Probably going to trade it for a Mind Control.
I've been playing blue-green in Limited all throughout this block, and with both Greedclaw and Ghostly Form at common, I don't think that's going to stop being a thing. (Although looking at the former's picture instead of what the page reports, that might actually be uncommon. Either way: sad for you, Kindercatch.)
I like Risky Bet. The drawback really doesn't matter much if you're in an emergency or top-decking. Maybe I'd like to try it as a one-of in my red decks.
Kind of frightening. This paired up with Avacyn and something that gives hexproof to everything (like Privileged Position) means that absolutely nothing ever dies ever. For all time.

this is why evacuation and worldpurge are a need in edh

I still like that Coiling Oracle is a Snake Elf Druid. (And not an ooze.)

Wrath of God? Who needed that piddly little Wrath of God anyway? Just send 'em all to the bottom!
...And thus Giant Growth became +6/+6.
