I'm pretty sure all possible color combinations have seen serious tournament play at some point or another. Though blue seems to feature in a disproportionate number of them. In any case, if it's just for casual, you can very easily make a color combination playable unless you're just shit at deckbuilding or don't have good cards.

I run Puzzle Box in my joking Norin deck.

The deck is designed to do as much screwy stuff as possible (which, to be honest, isn't quite what it does). I just knew that Norin was going in there.

And white and black has some good synergy at times. White likes to gain life; black tends to lose it. Perfect couple.

The most exciting game I've ever seen was Caw Blade vs. WUB Underworld Dreams+Teferi's Puzzle Box. All those sworded birds eventually succumbed to all that stalling removal, counterspells, (I think) bounce and Darkness, of all things.

Anyway, I'm tweaking my Modern deck. I'm thinking after that I'll have something a little more streamlined and fitting for the local meta.

Kokusho can do some broken things, he's banned from EDH.

My modern deck has four shocklands, six or seven fetches, and two other duals... And it isn't even the optimal mana base, I think. It's a little frustrating that such a thing as land can be what the barrier to competant participation is.

So what mechanic do you ponies most want to see return? I'm going to say multikicker; it was barely used, and they didn't explore any of the more interesting areas available with it (off-colour multikicker costs, having multiple multikicker costs on the same card).

There are already cards that have more than one kicker cost; more than one multikicker shouldn't be too much harder. Just do it as "do X for each time CARDNAME was kicked with its W kicker, then do Y for each time it was kicked with its G kicker".

Here's a proof-of-concept card I came up with that uses two multikicker costs:

Ziraka Captain (1W/G)
Creature - Human Soldier
Multikicker W and/or G
When Ziraka Captain enters the battlefield, put a 1/1 white Soldier creature token onto the battlefield for each time it was kicked with its W kicker, then put a +1/+1 counter on each Soldier creature you control for each time it was kicked with its G kicker.
1/1

Pump him full of green mana for a big beater, white mana for an army, or both for an army of big beaters.

Horesmanship is more expensive than flying because they realized that the cards would be legal in other sets and they where ALMOST putting "unblockable" on many of the cards.

Hence, many Three Kingdom cards are way more expensive than an equivalent that had flying.

THIS card practically makes all your creatures unblockable.
