Hey. So I've learned the rules to Magic and set up a deck, and I kind of want to try it. If anybody's interested in battling with me, contact me over PMs and we can play if I'm available.
Oh, and you'll have to explain to me how to set up a battle with Cockatrice too. Sorry.
Oh, and I know that sounded uppity and awkward. I didn't know how to word it. Once again, sorry.
EDIT: Nevermind, I have someone in mind I can PM. Ignore me.

Do you know you're all my favorite bionic entities?
So I have a question. The deck I stole off someone online made has an enchantment card called "Honor of the Pure", which gives all light monsters you control +1/+1. So where would you put it when you use it? Enchantments are permanents, but don't you usually equip them to specific creatures?
Also, can lands be tapped the same turn you summon them?
Only Enchantments that say "Enchantment - Aura" get attached to specific creatures. Other enchantments just sort of hang out on the battlefield with your lands and creatures and such.
Cards go on the field like this: Your lands are in a row next to your deck, things that are not lands go in front of the lands. That's right, isn't it? >_>
Cockatrice seems to sort mana rocks (mana-producing artifacts) so that they go along with the lands. Then in front of those are other artifacts and enchantments, then in front of those are creatures.
So I have the land card Moorland Haunt, which has an effect (it has another if you use some mana) that says "add 1 to your mana pool." Does that means add 1 colorless mana, or add 1 to any kind of mana you want?
Oh, and there aren't any rules that say you have to put your cards on the battlefield in any specific arrangement other than they have to be face-up and not sideways unless you have reason to transform or tap them. It's just customary to put lands in a separate row to keep things less cluttered. You also want to make sure the pile for the graveyard, cards in exile, and cards in play are all distinct from each other.
I was playing someone in limited, and he played Juggernaut. Being the only thing on the field worth controlling, I played Mind Control on it. My opponent yells "CHARLES NOOO"
And now there are demons all over the place, include one who explicitly makes you make human sacrifices to him every turn.
I'd be interested in returning to Rabiah, but I don't know how they'd do it, considering that Arabian Nights has all these awkward real-world historical/mythological references.
"It is a matter of grave importance that Fairy tales should be respected.... Whosoever alters them to suit his own opinions, whatever they are, is guilty, to our thinking, of an act of presumption, and appropriates to himself what does not belong to him." -- Charles Dickens

That would be... moderately awesome. We have such scrappy primary sources for Egyptian mythology that I think a Greek block would be vastly better, but any block based on real myths would be hugely welcome.

^ Yes. The more artistic license, the more it'll resemble one of the made-up blocks, is my concern.
Parasitic mechanics and low power level. The flavour in general wasn't too bad; some cards like Wandering Ones and Dosan the Falling Leaf had really good flavour.
That's probably more for mechanical reasons than thematic ones. Although...I don't think it occurred to me before now, but I'm having trouble really separating them.
Anyway, real life Vish Kal deck is working swimmingly. Storm Herd, also known as Plague Wind (And Then You Die Too).

@Gelzo: I figure if real-world sets were popular, they would have done a full block like that since... ever.

Barbaro: :P
Lord_Hollow: no he just sits there
Barbaro: lol

Lord_Hollow: yep
Barbaro has conceded the game.

Also, why is the djinn made by Bottle of Suleiman an artifact creature? That makes no sense.
