Vorosh, Damia and the Mimeoplasm are a scary combination, indeed. I really love Vorosh. So far he's probably one of my most refreshingly aggressive decks so far
WBG has Teneb, which is another awesome dragon right there. Not a big fan of Karador, although he isn't bad. Ghave's token/shenanigans incarnated, which is good.
I was thinking of the Commander expansion. I don't really like Doran, though. He's a CMC 3 5 beatstick, and too easy to build around, bleh
I made a Oros deck a while back based around upping his damage skills with Rings of Brighthearth and whatnot, while protecting my creatures with Celestial Dawn.
I've got my eye on Maelstrom Wanderer...there's a nasty combo involving him and Horde of Notions, but I think I'd rather use Wanderer as the general and forget about Horde.
Wanderer's going in my Riku deck as soon as he can. Sure, copying him won't do much, but he gives my creatures Haste and double cascading is good enough for him to be a shoe in.
I wonder what the other Planechase legends will be. One's in a ninja deck and thus presumably a ninja, one's in a deck called Savage Auras which presumably means Aura interaction and the other (this assumes there are only four) is in a deck called Primordial Hunger. Devour, maybe?
So, played Riku again today against Nyktos and Lovecrafter. Lovecrafter was mana screwed and only managed to cast Curse of the Cabal, which pretty much made him our biggest target till a cardless me and Nyktos ended up duking it off. I managed to play Magus of the Jar and copy him for double use and then did the whole "Copied and entwined" tooth and nail thing. Used Moonveil and Balefire Dragon to finish the whole thing off, as well as Verdant and Magmatic Force (Which I've got to copy :D)
overall, Riku's proving to really fun to play after I took him to the workshop.
I vote that the next tribal block be about a plane entirely inhabited by tribes that have never got much attention before: noggles, weirds, surrakar, lanmasu...
Archons would fit well in a set inspired by Norse myth; the fact that they ride things instead of having wings themselves makes them closer to valkyries than tradition angels are.
I like Magic's angels; they make more sense to me than the borderline cosmic horror angels of lots of mythology. I mean, an angel is supposed to be a beacon of hope to the righteous; something with five faces and tentacles isn't exactly going to fulfill that criterion. I suppose the flipside is that they're less scary to evildoers, but I think the primary function of holy beings shouldn't be "being scary" anyway.
I love the Angels too. The first MTG deck I ever made was an Angel Deck using cards from Angels vs Demons. I had hated MTG until Justice42 bought it, I was completely drawn in by the Angel cards, they're beautiful and fitting.
I'm envisaging lots of angels next set; my guess is that it's going to focus on a holy way between Avacyn and her church and the newly-released demons.
^ Well, most people aren't going to be inspired to charge into battle by Yog Sothoth. Pretty women are a different story.

that was my first deck too.
Speaking of stuff Friday and me somehow ended up doing, I decided to do a Rafiq EDH deck after a conversation with Zudak where we realized that Rafiq is pretty scary. My only worry is whether it is that good or if it just has way too many creatures.
^My "paper" EDH deck is a Rafiq deck, and yes he is really bloody scary, especially when paired with the 'Infect' mechanism. In fact when I managed to beat Haven with it using Infect he asked me if I was ashamed for winning in that way!
Double-striking Putrefax, right? I think that scarred Haven; when I was asking him if I should add Putrefax to my Chorus of the Conclave EDH deck he said it was too cruel.
I wouldn't use infect, simply because I find it kind of a boring mechanic in EDH. Of course, I'd play it if we upped the limit to twenty counters. I feel that'd make me at least less reluctant to play it.

All the RUG legends (including Maelstrom Wanderer) are pretty neat, as are the UBG and WBG ones.
Also you forgot Doran.
