I have an Eldrazi deck. I only use Kozilek, tho'. And I admit that he's mostly there because of that one time a game between Noimporta and me ended up with a stalemate and him winning because I didn't have a proper finisher.
Juan's tried to use that against me as a panic button; I don't think it's ever worked.
It works against Dorku like a charm, though. Admittedly, like Idler said, it's a bit unreliable, but that's why I run Moonring Island. --shrug--
I have to say It That Betrays has to be my favorite Eldrazi, 12 mana non-legendary with 11/11, annihilator 2 and an effect with obscene dickishness levels.
Use Siege Gang Commanders and Nest Invaders to spawn tokens. Build up mana with Lotus Cobra, and when you get a nice number of tokens out, activate Warp World, exchanging the tokens and all permanents for others randomly, like Rampaging Baloths, more Siege Gangs, Madrush Cyclops for added haste, and of course, Nucklavee to fetch your Warp World again.
Activate Warp World again after the Rampaging Baloths/Siegegangs generate their tokens, and gain more permanents.
Eventually when you have a sizeable amount you are comfortable with, attack with everything.

Not really.
If they only require two or three cards they can be effective, even devastating. But if you require a lot of build up and several cards, chances are your opponent will screw with what you're doing or just kill you before you pull it off.
So.
I'm not sure if this can work...can it?
Well, the problem I'm seeing is that tokens stop existing if they leave the battlefield in any shape or form. I'm not sure if that means that you can get new creatures or what. Anyway, if you're running green, you might as well just use Genesis Wave, really.
Quick Question: It sees like I've seen a lot of really specific win combo strategies in Magic. Do these ever really work all that well?
I present to you:
+
The most viable combo option in legacy. It has been pretty popular at times, often played with blue to counter-ensure the combo and ramp lands such as Ancient Tomb and City of Traitors.
Awe yeah, but ideally you want to cast Grindstone and pay for its ability in one turn to avoid destruction, so more like 4 manas. The great thing about it is that you can tutor Grindstone with
^ I made the deck and played against Justice. In all honesty it was horrible to win with because of the manner in which you win. I also seem to remember him getting extremely pissed off. Then we went combo deck to combo deck and well, that was just tedious bastardry.
On another note, a combo I totally love, not quite a game winner but awesome all the same is one I use in my Rafiq EDH deck. Ideally you want to use Tooth and Nail to tutor them:
I also love bringing out a Putrefax in conjunction with Rafiq's ability and swinging at a player for 12 infect.
I prefer Phyrexian Rebirth. Same general effect for a higher cost, but it also puts an X/X Colorless Horror on the field whose Power and Toughness are equal to the amount of creatures you nuked. Given that most of my friends run decks build around bringing out a ton of creatures, it is positively evil.
I was talking about the art there. Mechanically, Phyrexian Rebirth's better. But Wrath Of God's utility is that it can kill everything without regeneration getting on the way.
Costing two less makes a pretty big difference in most games, since it means taking two less turns' worth of damage from the swarm. In EDH Phyrexian Rebirth's probably better, but pretty much any other time I'd play Wrath or Day of Judgment.
Because Wrath of God could be, say, Rout, for example.
And Haven's right. I actually was going to argue for Wrath of God's goodness, but I thought it was my fondness of the card speaking rather than an actual argument.
Hallowed Burial's nasty beyond belief. And it fucks reanimator decks like hell. So yeah, best wrath. I'd run it in a deck that didn't rely on the graveyard if I ever decided to create such an abomination one day.
The other reason for it being cheap and thus good is not just that you can get it early, but that if you play it on the long game, it'd be easier to rebuild and not use just a token, as they're even more killable than creatures.

Using tokens with Warp World works.
Warp World is one of those cards you should really only have to cast once, though admittedly it's pretty hard to ensure that.

Plus, the more you warp, the more permanents your opponent loses if their deck isn't geared to handle that much field dickery.

Catholic Schoolgirls and Elves is the closest thing that google/MAL brings up.
So yeah, I guess it's too touchy to violate, even if they are the epitome of purity in most cases.
>Grindstone + Painter's Servant
Hey, I made one of those decks.
Used it once, not using it again unless I come up against a SRSBSNS player.

Yeah, but my deck is a Machine Orthodoxy one, meaning I get extra health out the ass for various reasons.
I am also a newb who plays against other newbs, so... :P
Hypothetically.
In practice, if it's a 13/13?
Somewhat less so.
also again, noobs vs. other noobs.
And they all run only one deck each, so..
