As a general rule, CMC X should be X/X. The only reason for there being a lower or higher value is there being an ability that makes the creature a bit more costly or there being a drawback to the higher power.
I hear five color control decks are feasible in Legacy. The awesome mana base available and the control aspect of the deck makes it more feasible to use all the colors, and the access to all five colors gives you access to all the best cards for whatever purpose you had in mind.
Hmm the only issue with the five coloured decks though is having the manas. As someone who predominantly plays Legacy format, I have to say I haven't seen a 5-coloured deck in the tournaments for, well as long as I've been playing (a few years now). However, 3-coloured decks are really popular in Legacy provided you have a low mana-curve due to the need for 8-10 dual lands spanning the 3 colours and 8+ Fetch lands. Doran Rocks were really popular for a while and Zoo decks (red/white/green) too, it also seems blue/black/white decks are doing the rounds at the moment. I like to keep updated on whats going on in the leagues with such websites as Magic League, helps give you a good idea of what staple cards to look out for in certain colour wheels.

Not particularly. I mean, yeah, it can make my creatures overpowered but it is just as easy to eliminate as any other enchantment and it doesn't make my creatures any more resistant to a Go For The Throat or a Doom Blade.
I do admit that using Last Stand with it sometimes feels pretty dickish, but it's a finisher. And I think that every deck should have at least one card that can finish the game early.
I like how you can basically add any curses of any kind to your deck because of that card. Granted, I wouldn't do it without a Prismatic Omen, but whatever.

Man, the more I look at Archangel's Light, the more it slowly dawns on me how terrible it is. I mean, I'd still probably play it if I opened it at the prerelease, but I'd be mildly disgruntled.
The rest of the set is really exciting though. (I mean, they reprinted another type-shifted Hill Giant, but whatever.) I get the feeling turn 2 is going to be really important, given all the high-quality bears. And I really want to bring back that white-green mania I had when I started playing, because it looks beastly in this set. ...But so does everything else. Except Archangel's Light.
Well this time they have pretty vampire girls (didn't like Zendi's too much but they were okay) , a bunch of cool werewolves, and some cool ghosts.
The effects are okay, but since I can't tell how useful or powerful a card is by looking at it, I am dead in that regard.
<bitching about yugioh> And since MTG has more than one artist, all the art has the ability to look different and apply to different themes, and not come out looking like an extremely shiny jagged metal armored robot like how Kazuki Takahashi has the habit of depicting every single one of his cards in Yugioh, including the god damn fucking ghosts, which are supposed to be astral-like...but look like fucking robots. The dinosaurs look like robots, the phoenix look like robots, the sphinxes look like robots, i mean...shit. </bitching about yugioh>
