I only know him for the pretty Misa avatar he used, and his support of me and my problems. although he was very racist, he seemed very intentive on helping me and talking to me, and cared on a very human basis.

One of the funny things is, while Shichibukai had horrible horrible political views, they came more from a naive, black and whitish (eheheh) view of the world, where if people from different cultures intermingled, they'd create a horrible new culture

As such, he wasn't the kind of person who didn't treat people badly or smugly, hence why he ended up making so many friends on TvT. I admit there's a hugbox aspect to it, but I wouldn't outright say that all appreciation for the guy came just from the fact that in tvt you have to love and tolerate everybody.

As for fixing tvt: Guys. No. Stop it. You're demonstrating the intelligence of a very brain damaged donkey.

I did not talk with Shichibukai often, but in a few times we exchanged PMs, he was very nice to me. And I don't remember seeing him impolite on the forums.

So I'm sad.

It's not like I agree with racism, or something. I do not know exactly what got Shichibukai banned. If he said something advocating harming people of somerace, then his ban is certainly justified.

However, what I remember is the guy who cheered me up when I felt rather sad (shrugs). Which is, of course, besides the point.

I'm in favor of a public ban list. The mods already can see the status of any troper name, so the functionality is there. I see no good reason to keep it secret. When, who banned them, and a short summary of why would be informative.

To be quite fair, this happened in a time when TvT was supposedly defending the idea of freedom of speech in its very own site and when Eddie did not supposedly know any of this.

I know I'm one of the first to condemn the site and the people behind it, but if we're gonna lauch into full accusatory mode, I'd prefer if we tried to see the whys and wherefores of this and stick to the facts, such as the fact that these policies are gone.

Bunch of people from all over the site came asking what happened and defending him because they never went to OTC. Wouldn't have happened if there was a banlist, of course, but if you're a moderator, you play with the tools you're given. Admins are the ones who hand out the tools in the first place.
