Nerds seem to generally prefer action animation to comedy

Okay, fine, I won't use "nerds" as a blanket term anymore.

    “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
If I'm going to be honest, it's because I've had a lot of conversations with AU and other people where he uses the word "nerds" like this with differing connotations, always making sweeping generalisations, and yet no matter how many times it is politely explained to him that this is bothersome, he doesn't listen. Personally, I don't like having to ask someone not to do something that gets on my nerves multiple times just to be ignored; when someone does that, it feels like they have no respect for me or my feelings, and you know what? That's upsetting.

Part of my annoyance, of course, stems from the fact that next to no-one here, despite being universally "nerdy" by most standards, actually thinks this way.

Which is to say, it's not the action itself that bothers me, but the implication that my feelings don't matter.

I'm sorry, that was unnecessarily harsh and I'm really not as angry as I sound. I'm just frustrated is all.

    I'm not angry. Who's angry?

    Just somewhat annoyed is all.
