Neptune (ネプテューヌNepuchūnu?) is the human form of Purple Heart, the CPU of Planeptune, and also the main protagonist in Hyperdimension Neptunia who loses her memory after a terrible fight and is banished to Gamindustri. After crash landing, Neptune finds herself in the home of the nurse in training, Compa. Now she must try to rally the other Goddesses and fellow party members to come aid her in defeating the evil goddess, Arfoire.
Neptune is the older sister of Nepgear. In mk2, she is captured along with Blanc, Vert, and Noire, so their sisters must step up and rescue them. In Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory, Neptune is thrown into the past after being kicked out by Histoire for being lazy and not working for a few years prior.
seriously, why is it that every time i try to make sense of anything related to neptunia, i get a "what the fuck am i reading" feeling
it's a strange, unsettling combination of arcane world-building details and horrible puns
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022

Because whoever thought that this was a good idea in the form that it took almost certainly had, like, five or six screws loose. It's basically everything that is wrong with a certain part of the Japanese anime fandom made flesh digital ink.
On a different note, the formatting is broken and I dunno what do.

The main thing I know is that David Productions did an adaption that did poorly. Beforehand, they did an adaptation of Parts 1 and 2 of JJBA that did quite well.
So a shitty adaptation of a fanservice game done to pay the bills as a guaranteed success did poorly, but the anime they did as fans of the source material where they tried to present it as well as possible did much better than expected, and let them continue and make a higher budget adaptation of Part 3.
This combined with the fact that there are no new anime with the words "My Little Sister" in the title, as well as interesting-looking upcoming anime like Tokyo Ghoul and Zankyo No Terror, new adaptations of Sailor Moon and Astro Boy, and freaking Masaaki Yuasa directing an Adventure Time episode this summer season makes me more hopeful about the future of anime than I generally am.

Despite my dislike of JJBA as a matter of taste, I am happy for this.
Smee, Maiman, Doktar, Pavelier, Button-Lee, Juan Ovyu
Actually I have faith on that project because it's made by the guy who made gdgd fairies and written by one of the Gamecenter CX writers. t. faith haver

You've owned a media conglomerate for four years and you're only NOW being upset by unlicensed Chinese merchandise??

I don't think this is entry-level.
It might not be thesis-level, though -- for that, you'll need to be writing a paper about "Accuracy of Moe Portrayals of Videogame Consoles in Hyperdimension Neptunia".
