Also, before I forget: I have to wonder at this point if the sprites were being intentionally cagey, and that no one has ever completed SBURB. If Lord English's influence is shown in the form of preventing people from completing their session, that means that completing the session doesn't do what the sprites said it does...
For this stretch, I don't think I'll be doing the midnight updates anymore. At least not midnight EST. It always seems to keep the kids up too late! The kids of the Americas, I mean, which I'm sure represents the majority of the readership. It's always midnight SOMEWHERE, though. Instead I'll probably be updating around the strike of midnight in some European nation, most days. Which nation will it be? It is a fun surprise.
so updates are posted around/before midnight CEST now
Am I the only person who noticed that this was somewhat OOC for Vriska? I mean, randomly insulting people isn't really her style, at least not without having an ulterior motive for it, anyway.
Hey, question. If certain classes are locked off to certain genders, like Princes and Knights being dudes only, then what happens if a player's agender? Do they just get blocked off from the two strongest classes, Lord and Muse?
^ I don't think Vriska has any way to know about "the hopey thing". She's probably just being a jerk.
Tavrossprite wasn't doing the best job either ("do something so amazing everyone will have to love you" is really awful, and besides that he was mostly just hitting on him) but at least he tried.
DAVE: well what do you like to do ROXY: i like........... ROXY: cats!!! DAVE: ok that is a fair opinion but cats arent actually an activity or anything
ARQUIUSPRITE: It must come from out of the b100, make virtually no sense, stun all involved, and have a lasting, profoundly unintelligible impact an all future and pseudofuture events
I cannot wait for whatever the hell this is gonna be.
Meh, I never really cared about most of the characters in Homestuck.
Equius and Nepeta, for some reason, I became quite attached to. Probably because they're basically me and Yarrun circa 2013.
And I guess I like John and I know I like Jade.
I also like the lusi, the guardians, and the exiles.
I mean, I care about Gamzee, 'cause he killed Equis and Nepeta, and I care about Jack Noir because he killed the guardians and the exiles (he also killed John once, and Nepeta once).
Diamonds Droog was pretty great, too. I guess I like all the carapacians.
Doc Scratch is insufferable enough for me to care about him and want to see his later form (Lord English) defeated.
But I've always, always preferred the big flash animations to the conversations. I cared about Karkat when he fell into the lava, because yeah, that storyline with him, Terezi, and Gamzee was... well, that situation was boiling, and I wanted to see it explode. Alas, Karkat died, and Kanaya chainsawed the bad guy in a way that failed to satisfy me.
Chainsaws just aren't visceral when you make them perfect slicing devices. There's no weight to the blow when it is so sharp in its cutting. Karkat is defined by his emotional intensity, and this was an exploding situation turning that emotional intensity into murderous rage, that Karkat vs Gamzee fight should have been absolutely brutal, given the two characters involved.
I guess, after waiting more than a year on the cliffhanger of Karkat beng about the go all out on Gamzee, I wanted more than twelve seconds of what turned out to be anticlimax.

This is why Kanaya/Rose, Dave/Terezi and Vriska/John, just seem really creepy to me.
*rare exceptions do exist.
Anyways, http://www.mspaforums.com/showthread.php?32390&p=4173696#post4173696 Given what Hussie said here, I'm not sure that Dave and Karkat are being Moirails.
