@Lucas: Visual glitches, if it's done right, since the NES's graphics chip is a TMS 9918-ish tile renderer with the tile sets on the cartridge instead of in video RAM. Messing with the connection to the CHR-ROM makes the screen look really, really weird.
I was wondering if maybe she was a member of the troll ancestor's party, but for some reason got left out of the game and never got to have a descendant. It's a little suspicious to me that she's having difficulty with her "brother" and that the clouds are going dark for her.
Is it just me, or have there been a lot of setbacks recently? I know, I know, we're already a good 450-odd pages into Act 6, but it seems like it's taking forever to get Jane into the Medium.
Then again, I was also half-expecting the kids and trolls to show up in the Alpha session on Day 1025. It looks like it really will be April 13, 2012 at this rate. :P

That's probably my favorite version of her so far. And it helps that she hits a lot of my nerd-girl charm points...which is to say, I probably had a crush on a human version of her at some point. :P
I understand some people are upset about UU being an Exposition Fairy. Honestly, it doesn't bother me; we haven't had a recap in in ages (AH's explanation of Cascade notwithstanding) and I think it's about time we had some explanations on things.
That and I have to wonder if they even read the pesterlogs. Homestuck makes almost no sense if you don't read them.
I think if UU is meant to be representative of myself and others as Homestuck fans, I'm not going to complain. I think it shines a rather positive light on things.

Heh, I like the implication at the END OF ACT 6 INTERMISSION 1 that Prospitand Dersejust have their names floating out in space and keeping orbit with the moons.
I also like that Dirk can walk the walk instead of just talking the talk. Makes him a good deal less insufferable. I guess the first instance of that was when he cut Fat Guy's head off (I can never remember his name), but this animation really cements it.
