People love to make drive-by hate posts about Princess Daisy, saying that she's just a clone of Peach. This has been false since 2003, when Daisy got a new voice actor and a redesign to distinguish herself.

When I went to this subreddit, I wanted to show people that Princess Daisy is my favourite Nintendo character, but I couldn't. Peach and Rosalina and KUMATORA were present and accounted for, but others like Toad and Daisy was absent. I was confused about these glaring omissions, so I decided to message the moderators about it. They said that Daisy was too "unimportant" to be a stock flair, and that she had to be unlocked.
That doesn't sound too bad, but the unlock process involves gaining the moderators' attention through a really high-karma post. Which is harder than Cruel Smash! I asked about how this system came to fruition, but all the mods said is that "DAISY IS UNIMPORTANT" and that she's a "PEACH CLONE", when I know she isn't.
Honestly, as a Daisy fan, I feel like she has to go through significant hurdles just to get some recognition. They didn't even bother to give her a costume in Mario Maker and I got downvoted to hell for this. When I ask about her in Smash, people just say that the Peach colour is enough, and some just laugh at me and others.
People say that she has no personality at all despite Nintendo implying otherwise, look at her in Mario Strikers where she showed that she can be cool!
