Actually, it seems to be less about trashing critically reviled albums than judging whether or not they deserve the hate they get. The discussion of Sonic Youth's NYC Ghosts & Flowers is actually pretty fair-minded and positive, and nails why the likes of Pitchfork were so quick to pillory the band over it.

it's, like...instead of mouse acceleration, you get mouse deceleration. either way, reduced mouse precision.
dumb. both are dumb. you should demand raw input from your OperatingSystem. acceleration is for if you have a tiny surface like a touchpad.

I was coding some first person thing and making it work with the rest of my code wasn't happening, so I gutted it.
