  • I liked Redwall when I was younger. Aside from the blatant plot recycling in the later books it was a good series.
  • You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022

I was completely fine with the plot recycling, the white-and-black morality, and all that.  I loved the simplicity, no need for shades of grey (or at least, not very many).  Absolutely good guys and absolutely bad guys.

As for the plot, I'm the sort of person who finds jokes funny every time if I find them funny the first time. So what if it's always the same exact story with the names changed?  I like that story.

I know it's morally simplistic, and the plot is recycled, but dang it if I don't love it.
  • Edward is a derivative of my dad's English name -> Edlyn 'cause it was similar to "Ed" and I liked how it rolled off the tongue

Edlyn is Welsh. It is also very pretty.

We can do anything if we do it together.
Eric was a short, distinctive name that my parents could agree on. My father got it partially from Erik the Red/Leif Ericson, and partially from Eric Clapton.
