Yes. In fact, you should go to Columbus, Ohio. I know this silly mare there who might think it's fun to hang out with you. :P

I guess I might as well post these since I shot them all, even though I already posted my favorites in the other thread.
The top of the closed escalator. There was actually a wooden barricade around it (you can see part of it at the left), but I held the phone over it to take the picture, hoping no employees saw me.
The City of Falls Church, Fairfax Water, and Fairfax County, with the assistance of a federal mediator, have successfully negotiated terms for the sale of the Falls Church Water Utility to Fairfax Water. The terms have been approved by the Falls Church City Council, the Fairfax Water Board of Directors, and the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.
Huh. I thought that was mired in litigation, but I guess they straightened it out. Falls Church is putting it to a referendum next November, and if it passes, this means that Fairfax Water will finally serve the one part of Fairfax County they don't already, and get a third water source (a connection to the Army's Dalecarlia plant in Northwest) in the deal as well.
These damn things were everywhere 20 years ago or so. For a while back in 1990-1991, it seemed like everyone I knew that had a computer with a hard drive had this particular hard drive.

But Anonus, hard drives! That's the sound of THE FUTURE!
Who knows, maybe this "world wide web" thing might take off!

I shot this a while back but forgot about it until going through the photos on Mother's phone:
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."

No new content, but...Flickr was offering three months of free "Pro" subscription as a holiday promotion, so because I can now access all the photos I've ever uploaded, I made some sets I thought people here might like:
That's Not A Good Sign: Ugly, inaccurate, or otherwise poorly made signs. (Not limited to traffic signs.)
Hidden Gems: Interesting things I stumbled across while intending to photograph other things.
And, perhaps most interesting...
Long Gone: Places that no longer exist as shown in the photos. They've all been demolished, renovated, or otherwise changed.

A few from yesterday (29 December, for when the timestamps switch over):
A very old button-copy sign near Marion. It looks green in the photo because I tried to correct for the windshield tint, but it's actually a very, very faded brown.
US 23 is mostly a freeway in Marion and Wyandot counties, but for some reason it has several at-grade intersections:

Some shots from Westerville, Ohio on 4 January 2013:
A closer view of the Christmas star. It's got dozens of what appear to be incandescent bulbs on it, but I wasn't up here during December so I don't know if they actually work.
Looking north on West Street. West Street is actually the southern end of the much longer Africa Road, so named because it follows what was once a major route on the Underground Railroad.
Looking east on Home Street. I was careful to get the streetlamp in the shot, because...I dunno, I think overhead streetlamps frame shots nicely sometimes.
Signals for a protected-only left turn. Nowadays these would be installed with red arrows, but here we see the old standard of red balls (with green and yellow arrows) alongside a LEFT TURN SIGNAL sign.

I know, it's strange. It's not even a particularly legible typeface...idiots.
You like the State Theater sign, eh? Personally I find myself wondering what will occupy that space once the furniture place moves--it's in the ever-pretentious "Uptown Westerville" after all, so I'm sure it won't stay empty long.

A whole lot of stuff from German Village (a historic Columbus neighborhood) and the surrounding area, all from 12 January:
Reinhard Avenue alongside Schiller Park. I didn't stick around to get pictures of Schiller Park because I was tired of walking and I was trying to beat the rain. But hey, adventure for another day!

It was a gloomy sorta day. Clouds in the sky threatening rain any moment, though it never did come. Though it was a fun day nonetheless.
I never ate at The Clarmont, honestly--I don't live near this part of town--but I recognized it as a local landmark.

I actually had a plastic shopping bag in my pocket to cover the camera if it started raining, since it was less cumbersome than carrying around the camera's bag (which isn't waterproof anyway).

I was bored after my doctor's appointment this morning, so I went to The Andersons. It's one of those weird little chain stores that's not even important enough to get its own Wikipedia article. It's a bizarre sort of hypermarket format that combines a home improvement store with a grocery store, if that makes any sense.

Hee hee, I knew you'd be able to find out about its corporate structure if I namedropped it. Thanks.

CA once pretended to buy it and integrate it into her retail empire that also included CA Marketplace, Drug Emporium, and Tumblr-branded grocery stores.
Hmmm, apparently new above-ground water towers are banned in Montgomery County, MD, which is why new water tanks there tend to be either cool stuff like the Earthoid, or just plain weird like...this thing.

Bunny! ^_^
Colorado is pretty...I love that you can just walk up a bike path and see mountains in the distance. There's nothing like that at all where I live...

That end of the bike path is not crowded out by houses and such; the view is of warehouses along with the plain (which appears rather arid) and, if you look far enough, you can see cars driving.

So cool...
I don't think there's anywhere around here where I can get that kind of view. Not within walking distance, at least...suburban sprawl is all around.
The closest I could get is if I went a few miles east to the rural area, and even then all I'd be able to see would be cornfields and some woods...

Also it's interesting to me that such a large corporation has such an un-corporate-looking base. Don't large corporations tend to inhabit skyscrapers?
Y'know, i like motel signs like that. We don't really have them over here, and they seem old-fashioned to me.
