I feel like I keep want to say "Bear" and then a class, Like Bear Ranger, or Bear Paladin, but I fear that kind of nuance might wear you all down quickly, so I just want a quick kind of math thing, Is a bear worth playing at all?

Man is a most complex simple creature: see what he weaves, and how base his reasons for doing so.
Mo: If you want to point-buy, you can do that. If you want to use the scores given, you can do that. And if you choose to roll but get bad rolls, then you should probabbly switch to points.
Clock: You /can/ be a bear. Just go with a class that doesn't use intelligence or charisma or something. Like a barbarian or something.
Although if you do become a bear barbarian you'd outclass us all in strength.

You've got two 16's and a 17. That's pretty good. That gives you three abilities with which you have a +3 modifier. I suggest one of them be Constitution. You've also got a 14, which gives you a +2. 10 gets you a +0, 9 gets you a -1.
So you're going to be disadvantaged in one of your abilities. If you don't want that, you can convert those numbers to point-buy, subtracting from one number to add to another. Or you could just use the standard sets.
Clock: Druids are already quite effective martial classes. You could multi-class, but we'll have to learn how to do that.

Ludmilla: I'm pretty sure I did, in the Doc. It's under "Saving Throws".
Do you want me to link it to you in PM? But basically, you cast your spells with Charisma (if you're Fey) or Wisdom (if you're Star), expend your Constitution to do it, and use Strength to wield your Pact Arm. Remember, you need that to get HP back to cast more spells.
Yarrun: You'll likely get two Ability Improvements later on, so don't worry about that. But you've got no negatives, so that's a plus.

I have the document open, I dunno maybe I just missed it.

Oh yeah Nova says that you guys should be getting a few uncommon magical items now, so if you end up with a zero or a negative I'll try and give you something to make up for it.
I'd be fine with you simply rolling a table for whatever magical/nonmagical items Ludmila happens to have. Quantity should take precedence over quantity in this particular case, because of her pact with the Baron.
Man is a most complex simple creature: see what he weaves, and how base his reasons for doing so.
Yarrun: As a dwarf you're already proficient with two kinds of axes and two kinds of hammers. Is it necessary to take that feat? Because you might need it for something else.
Ludmilla: You don't need to pick Charlatan. You can pick any background you want, and there is a Noble background in the packet. I just included that because it seemed to me a warlock needs to do a lot of fast-talking and lying.
Maybe. Noble makes more sense though even if I can't realistically get the benefit of retainers and don't necessarily get as much mechanical benefit out of it.
Also I don't necessarily think the horses are super important unless we're going to be traveling from town to town a lot (besides what kind of swamp has horses).
can I get a number of magical items it would be appropriate for a level 8 character to have and then just roll on a table for some? It fits Ludmi's personality to just have a bunch of stuff on her, and I don't feel like selecting them individually.
I only bring it up because I know you mentioned it earlier.
also I am not sure how to determine how many spells I get.
Your doc just says
Your warlock level determines what spells you know, representing how much your patrons trust you with arcane might. Consider the HP cost of each spell as a number one above its current level. Cantrips cost 1 HP, Level 1 spells cost 2 HP, Level 2 spells cost 3 HP, and so forth and so forth.
I don't just get all of them for each level, one assumes.
Warlocks are under the non-prepared caster section, which means that they can cast any spell in their level. I mean, you're still limited by the kind of pacts that you've chosen, but I think that's the only real limitation.
Man is a most complex simple creature: see what he weaves, and how base his reasons for doing so.
Yarrun: If you want, go for it.
Mo: Yeah, I'll just roll some stuff up. Random stuff. Also I don't know. I'll just give you my Google Docs template later.
So here's how mages and clerics cast spells. Mages have a spellbook, with which they can record their spells to take adventuring. They can only take so many spells, so its like carting around a golf bag full of different guns, but a higher level means not only being able to put more guns in your golf bag, but also having access to a wider selection of guns.
They each have so many spells a day, which increases as they go along, which you can think of as different-sized rounds. You got small bullets for the cantrips, .45 pistol rounds for the level 1-3s, shotgun rounds for the bigger spells, etcetera. So they have to carefully prepare and think about the guns they want.
You are a warlock. You have ALL THE GUNS available to your warlock level. You can shoot ANY GUN you want. The catch is that you're ripping out pieces of your own flesh to load the guns.
Does that make sense?
EDIT: Modifiers are under the How To Play section.
I just realized that I'm left with the dichotomy of a character who smokes constantly, is a warlock, and is essentially a hoarder but who is also incredibly charismatic somehow.

Maybe she's just really pretty and mysterious and that distracts people from the obvious warning signs. Like my ex-wife, ba-dum-tish.

is this good?
You don't specify what my important ability scores are as a Warlock so I'm assuming it's Charisma, Constitution, and Wisdom like in 4e right?

"Charlatan" doesn't really fit Ludmila unless I'm misunderstanding what's meant by it.

For what it's worth, I've heard that 5e and 3.5e are pretty similar. Much more similar than 3.5 and 4 at any rate.
