I don't know what I'm looking at, but it's not a The Big Bang Theory reference, so I approve.

Or maybe it is, and it's just painted up...

it took me 1 1/2 whole minutes in gimp
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
It's what happens when The Big Bang Theory meets Varg Vikernes.

So much approval, you don't even know.
  • Didn't Varg Vikernes kill a dude?
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
Yes, he did in fact kill his bandmate. He's a complete raving lunatic. Which is part of why I approve, I think.

More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
    ^^ *researches* yup
  • Touch the cow. Do it now.
the act that, for some reason, is taken as a defining moment for black metal

    “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
^^ Well, it was the pinnacle of the violent insanity that characterised the original Norwegian black metal scene, as well as a turning point for many of the musicians involved in that world.
  • yeah he killed Euronymous, he claimed that it was self defense and that Euronymous was planning to stun him, tie him up and torture him to death.

although if it was self defense 20+ stab wounds would be overkill

also on top of that he is a racist, anti-semitic douchenozzle

on the other hand he's cute so i guess it all works out about even-stevens?
  • He's a complete raving lunatic.

i'd say he's more of a quiet, well spoken lunatic but yeah

  • The sadness will last forever.

    “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
Watching interviews with him is strangely fascinating. He's really charismatic, very charming and a bit spacey, and then he says these really bizarre, deeply unsettling things with complete conviction and all you can do is kind of tilt your head and say, "Whaaaa..."

    ^^ Yes.

  • rap musician kills someone - end of career, lifetime in jail.

metal musician kills someone - immortalized into musical legend.

to be fair, I think that's because he's Swedish, and Sweden has a maximum of 21 years for prison sentences, whereas in the USA they can and will lock you up indefinitely.

    “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
That's at least partly because Sweden has a criminal justice system that recognises that sticking people in jail for the rest of their lives is generally a really bad idea. There's also the fact that black metal is a niche genre with some really weird cultural aspects to it. I should also point out that Vikernes is less an immortal legend than a notorious nutter-butter whose music happens to be well-respected among certain fans.

Granted, you might have been intentionally making a faulty comparison for the sake of sarcasm, but it's a faulty comparison either way...

    ^ Ninjutsu!

It's OK. I am also rambly at this hour...

...And even when your hope is gone
move along, move along, just to make it through
    (2015 self)
Well, Bob Marley shot the sheriff; and he didn't go to jail.

So, clearly, it is Reggae singers who are best off, here.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
Because he did not shoot the deputy, of course! After the death of the sheriff, the deputy became the acting sheriff, thus subverting previous power structures; in a reciprocated act of mercy and social justice, the new sheriff decided not to pursue.
