I somewhat feel the same way. I don't hate it, but nowadays I'm hesitant to get into competitive gaming, just due to the culture in my experience. It's really cool, being Binding of Isaac and all that, but I'd probably just watch.
I don't know anything about Cobaltstreak (who appears to be the only "name" in BOILER so far) other than that he has his own Twitch emoticon, so there's that.
I have to imagine it'd be less vitriolic than something like the League of Legends tournaments that go on, but that's not saying much.
I only recognize Cobaltstreak, and all that I know is that he's a knowledgeable player (obviously). And agreed, despite never having played it, but I imagine seeing some "pro" skills might be nice. I figure if I avoid the culture it could turn out well.
Ah yes, the Brimsnap. I prefer Brimstone glitch, but darn if that isn't fun to say. I only saw one challenge run of his, and I got too bored, didn't really get into it.
Thanks for telling me that, or else I probably would have continued not paying attention to that. So I might as well keep checking him out. Do you only watch his PSAs?
That's the only thing of his I watch that's actually on his channel. He does collabs with other people I watch sometimes too though (namely Northernlion and more recently RockLeeSmile).
I've also only seen like two of those because I don't want to spoil things for myself if I don't have to, but learning how to get Deal With The Devil rooms to spawn is kind of essential for forward progress.
I watch Northernlion, and have been meaning to check RockLeeSmile out since he seems like a cool guy. And I've basically spoiled the entire game for myself. The fact that the videos are posted so often really helps with that.
Father shall be swallowed by the son, and brother shall be swallowed by brother.
This game scares me.
Not because of the plot, I can get over that, it's just Edmund McMillen, I suppose. I tried Time Kucf out and enjoyed it but I couldn't ever finish it, and I was semi-interested in Meat Boy but the difficulty on that one also makes me nervous.
Epic Fetus and The Relic? Yes, see what you mean by convolutedly lucky, that's like an almost guaranteed victory. That said, congrats on unlocking the D6.
for some reason the game just now decided to start keeping track of my achievements, so I just got like five massive stacks of "achievement unlocked"s for stuff I did like a week ago.
a bunch of item unlocks and benchmarks (for completing the game x amount of times or with a specific character) and also the Basement Boy achievement for not taking any damage on a run through the Basement or Cellar.

OP pls nerf
Spirit of the Night is a great item but Nine Lives is....weird.
also, what's with the window? Are you using XP?
ic
also do you have Wrath of The Lamb? I assume so since I'm not actually sure if you can buy it without that anymore.
good
also I will likely be getting a new headset within the next few days (maybe even tomorrow?), would anyone be interested in a BOI stream?
Spoilered for Naney's sake.

Gonna try to get the D6, wish me luck.
also who are you

there's a glitch named after him.
The first three items I got were the X Ray Glasses, Epic Fetus, and The Relic.
it's more Florian than Ed who keeps taking me out, really. He only just started playing the game. Heck even I'm not on the Chest yet.
