also being the first woman PM is an achievement and something i respect her for
however i am still raising a glass of wine. maybe to her life as well, just a little bit. who knows.

Thatcher worked very hard to make sure Pinochet never faced justice for killing thousands.
She actively tried to undermine talks between the South African government and the ANC that lead to black South Africans being allowed to vote and Mandela being freed.
She privatised water in the UK and overseas. This lead to many being unable to have access to clean water.
She destroyed industry just to undermine the unions.
She brought in the wholly regressive poll tax that overwhelmingly hit the poor hardest.
She brought in "care in the community" and gutted mental health provision leaving thousands of vulnerable people without help or support.
She deliberately underfunded the NHS in an effort to destroy it.
Ronald Reagan was a jerk. Suck it, Reagan fanboys.
...then people started believing it seriously.
That's when it all started going wrong.

I'm not British, and I barely remember Thatcher from history, so I think I'll skip the dancing. Don't think I'd dance on anyone's grave, not even Warden Arpaio's. And that guy's a jerk.
She was apparently an actual environmentalist at a time when that was uncool, so I guess that's pretty cool.
normally I have a pretty strict reverence for the dead.
So, instead of simply celebrating her demise, I will hope that she finds redemption in whatever afterlife our souls may go to, or peace in an eternal silence if they do not, and that her evil work on this earth may someday be reversed.

Any more detailed, sophisticated analysis of her wrongdoing? I kind of need something more than just "Destroyed industry to undermine unions", I mean, what does that even mean outside of political-speak?
Something with less adjectives, perhaps?
I mean, I'm not contesting that there are reasons why certain people despise her, but, it's kind of hard to really know what to make of "gutted mental health provision", "destroyed industry" "Wholly regressive poll tax", "deliberately" anything, when such words, in political use, mean basically "Did things I don't like". People talk like that about every politician, what makes this one different? One might as well say "Because I don't like Thatcher".
She essentially wrecked business to make their affiliated unions look bad.
