So, with Equestria Girls, when Twilight gets back to equestria where she belongs; she'll have all these memories of experiences with the rest of the Mane cast; but the rest of the Mane cast won't share those memories.
Beholder: Yes, that is a legit screenshot from the new episodes. It's a brief gag.
Justice: I don't recognize that from the season premier. I wasn't paying too much attention to the preview clips from other season 4 episodes, so maybe it's from those. And Equestria Daily has links to youtube uploads of the episodes.

Could have done without all the exposition at the beginning, but thanks to my daughter, I've seen every episode a few times (at least in pieces), so my perspective is probably a tad different from the average brony, and certainly way off from the target audience.
Pacing felt a tad rushed after that for most of the first episode.
Then we started to take a trip down memory lane and everything was awesome...
I've been playing the updated version of Megapony. Fucking brutal but strangely fun game. The first version was even more ridiculous -- in part because Fluttershy's stage didn't have water, and in part because Flutters, Dash, and Pinkie were the only ones available and they were all hilariously hard bosses.
I definitely feel like you're supposed to start with Rarity. I reached her for the first time with half health and no lives to spare, and still almost got her -- she's not that bad if you juke her traps properly.
Twilight, on the other hand, is a dirty cheating cheater who cheats and spends all her time floating around on the top of the fucking screen. Not even Buster runs against Astro Man were that obnoxious.

Guessing this will pretty much kill a great deal of the tyrant Celestia meming. Establishing that Nightmare Moon actually shot energy at Celestia and tried to kill her is a bit of a game changer.
It also means it wasn't necessarily her idea. If the Elements are pre-existing doohickeys instead of something they had a hoof in putting together, they may well have decided that for themselves.
There's six plot coupons they gotta find. Given that some of the episode synopses that have been promo'd/leaked are clearly slice-of-life, the season-long arc probably isn't going to come up in every single episode this season.
Doesn't really need to be in every episode. Just being willing to have strong continuity is a really good sign.
The main problem I can think of is that Discord may have been acting like too much of a jerk. I mean, I expect and like him to be a dick to a good degree, and I really enjoy that a cartoon is willing to tackle ambiguous reformation. But we got very little of his dynamic with Fluttershy, which is weird because that's supposed to be the core (if not only) reason he's not an outright villain anymore. What few moments she had felt downright adversarial -- she fucking threatened him at the end, using as leverage a friendship she wasn't really expressing all that much.
I also like that the "villain" is just leftovers, and we don't actually have or need a villain.

I agree with the Discord/Fluttershy dynamic, I liked that he intentionally held information for his own amusement/"to teacht hem a lesson" (it helps that this is exactly how I write Discord. :P ) But the idea that he's not really embracing any aspects of friendship even to the point that he can't even properly remember Fluttershy's name or that Fluttershy needs to be forceful with him to get him to clean up his own mess seems a tad much.
I understand that one of the great appeals of Discord is the tension he brings when he's onscreen, but I'd like a little of him trying to get along, here. Even Pinkie was unusually ready to blast him into the stone age.

Also her new smaller crown thingy looks like someone tried to do the "step through a postcard" trick with one of the spare crowns in Canterlot.
