Are there any good locations for a game to take place that haven't been done to death? I wonder this
I feel like the deep ocean has been underrepresented. Yeah, every game has an ocean level and sometimes games will include things like lure fish, but it'd be rad to have a horror game or something down in the Marianas Trench or somewhere with almost no light.
I've seen more ocean games coming out recently, but still not usually in the deep ocean or its seafloor.
I feel like you could also make a cool game placed on gas giant planets? It would be like water, but you could have different locations made up of different kinds of gas that might be dangerous. Cities and towns would be held together like those raft cities, but without any way of anchoring them. You could even attach them to giant creatures, though that's getting into the realm of overdone. I don't know how well you could pull it off, but it's a thought.
More people have said that and been killed than there are thorium decay products.
That's Hong Meiling and she lives in Gensokyo, which is a fantasy setting situated in Japan. She is one of two(?) Touhou characters that come from China.

I think glennmagusharvey's theater idea is a good one.
I doubt this is all that groundbreaking, but I would like to see more mall levels (as a separate world in the same vein as Banjo-Kazooie/Mario 64/Sunshine/DK 64).
Another thing that I think would be pretty cool would be to have a game set in a national capital. While that probably sounds weird, I feel like there is a lot of potential there, especially if you model it off of the U.S. capitol and have a bunch of underground tunnels going to office buildings, a library, a courthouse etc. and have a subway system the player can unlock later on. I honestly think that setting would work fairly well for a horror game, especially if the power is out in parts of the complex and you have figure out how to restore it bit by bit.

Fallout 3
We promised to never talk about the subway system for Fallout 3, Myr
Found some reviews for The Wolf Among Us on The Escapist
I know all reviewers are basically paid shills when it comes to major gaming companies, but for a review this sycophantic, they must have bought this one a new house. And he describes the game like he's 12 to boot.
the sound effects made me cringe with hatred and fear

Lithuania.
Sealand.
Estonia.
Abergavenny.
Except for the Sun, I mean, that's obvious.
China.
Something portraying a dark cave or dense forest as a hopeful place.
A building that has two parallel dimensions -- in one it is in pristine condition, and in the other it is in ruins.
World first.
If so, how do you make it look that good? I have trouble with the text looking like ass.
Though that idea was actually inspired by Castlevania. Which has a gothic horror setting, even if it's not an actual horror game itself.
Best of all, this game is free. And it seems quite large, so far.

Androids killing eldritch abominations, now in video form!
Treasure Adventure Game, the original pixelated one, is on GOG too.
No respite.
None shall stand in my way.
