I'm thinking of changing the title of my album, but I cannot think of a new one that's any good.
The reason for the change is that the album is not as thematically consistent as I was planning on it being, so the title doesn't really fit anymore. idk.
I also want like, decent, drawn artwork but have no idea where I'd get that from or how I'd get it.
The "feel" at this point is more downtempo, "cold" songs fading into faster tempo ones, and then making the transition to the "deserty" music that was supposed to be the whole album at the end.
Woo for being vague as fuck. Also I might do self-titled.
Blackgold feature confirmed for LoTSF (you heard it here first folks), which is now officially a mixtape as opposed to an album, due to its nature. Though note that will not affect the content in any way.
I'm glad to see things picking up for you, Mojave. What you've shown so far sounds pretty cool.
So, in addition to what my band has in the works, I'm in the beginning stages of putting together a new album of Fever Carpets material. A lot of it is just older, unreleased stuff that I've reworked, but a few things are all new, including a massive noise-type track oriented around the sound of a broken pitchfork head.
I hope that these things shall prove satisfactory.
The violin's from the Finale Notepad 2008 Soundfont. The trance sound in the background and the bass are LMMS presets from the zynaddsubfx plugin.
As for the percussion, well, it's a few drum samples (along with LMMS's explosion sample) combined into four different beats. I start out with one, and keep adding more beats until the bassline drops out at 2:10. All four are playing by the two-minute mark.
recorded with me doing keys/bass/vocals (wtf im singing) and my housemate on guitar
peace x
You are legitly really good at singing. Whole track's really nice actually, I like the keyboard textures and the hazy mood of the whole piece.
Pretty much my only criticism is that the part near the end where the track slows down, the actual slowing down seemed to go on just a bit longer than it needed to. That's minor though.

collab sometime? :D
lol thanks the "keyboard textures" were me holding down 6 keys and then recording me playing the same 2 keys over and over with the keyboard set to POWER BASS. who cares though it came out pretty good
and yeah if you got anything you want me to sing over or you want some drums or whatever i can do that. my boyfriend has a lappy w/ sonar and 3 good quality mics so recording is cool now. (though i am leaving to spend 2 weeks in london literally tomorrow, but its only 2 weeks and then im back up here after new years.)
@Sunn: I second Mojave's assertions: Your singing is great, and I really enjoy the simple keyboard thing going on there.
@TNS: That's a very nice little dark ambient/drone piece that you have there.I'd love to hear you do more in that vein, or maybe mix this style with other instruments.
I ask because I tend to create long tracks. Not necessarily crazy long—although I can do that, too—but long enough on average for me to want to ask first.
Cool. Do you have FL Studio so that I can send you the project file directly or shall I rip the various channels to .wavs or .mp3s and send them to you?
Also I have faith in your musical ability, so my only guideline is going to be a request to not lean too heavy on the noise side of things. Keep it more atmospheric and kinda desert-y if you can.
Rip to .wav, please. (I have Garageband. One day, I will finally set up Logic, but right now, Garageband.)
I can do that. Some things should be loud and noisy, but others should be lighter and more understated. Your music doesn't often strike me as something that needs sonic cannon blasts.
If asked, and at the risk of being pretentious, I'd probably describe my music as I'm trying to do it now as hip-hop with a lot of electronic, psychadelic, and world influences.

That works better as a song title than album title, imo.
You can have it either way though.
Assassin poems, Poems that shoot
guns. Poems that wrestle cops into alleys
and take their weapons leaving them dead
All the best to your album.
coolbeans, Sred.
also, traaaaaaaaaacklist
hopefully the tracklist will not change too much more and will mostly be additions.
Speaking of additions.
I have a loop (two technically) that I don't know what to do with. See here.
Title's just a placeholder I came up with on the spot.

I'd appreciate any feedback. On this, or the other two songs that I posted last week.
Dude I'm sorry, I keep meaning to review your tracks and I keep forgetting.
REMIND ME TOMORROW VIA A PM, and I shall do it.
If you want me to, anyway.
Here's an ambient track I did today.
This is a very nice track, Yarrun.
Curious as to how you made it? I especially like the percussion.

And here's a picture with the beat that comes in at 1:50

Apparently this is a thing famous rappers do now, so here, production screencap. Also, new album title!

Cool, cool. The two weeks will give me time to cook something up with you in mind.
I was thinking mostly singing, cuz vocals are bitchin.
cool, thanks. send me a message or something when you got something
also on an unrelated note i have the same headphones as the chick in your avatar. literally the exact same ones.
There should be a Heaper Music compilation
trufax.
but we should totes do it :(
maybe like two tracks for each person.
idk I'd wanna get my mixtape out first.
maybe this is something we could do in the future though.
Nah, it should be cool.
Also we should collab sometime. I think my more soundscapey stuff would be cool for you to tweak.
Also because I like collaborating with all the people.
Cool!
Maybe I could send you the bones to "Standing Blind in Giza"? That track really needs a rework and I can't figure out what to do with the damn thing.

Will do.
and thanks, I'm glad you understand.

But that's just me.
Also one can add the following to confirmed tracks for the tape if any of y'all care.

Not sure about collabs. The idea's awesome; it's just that I'm not sure about what I have to offer.
ha thats just a thing i named my soundcloud
ill get you an actual... something or other to put in your songtitle eventually
