All of the songs that weren't recorded either specifically for or close to this session are marked with the year they were made in brackets (the oldest going back to 2009).
Nothing original on this account -- just arrangements of Touhou songs. Everything I write is in midi format (as I still haven't figured out how FL Studio and similar programs work), so it's a pain to convert it into a youtube video. Thus, I don't do it too often.
So I'm starting on a new music project as of today. It'll be a hip-hop beat tape and will be called Beet Tape for the sake of punnery. Likely it will also have beets on the cover.
Currently have two tracks for it ("To Tha Punk Kidz" and "A Sexy Bitch Named Jellyfish") so I'm comfortable saying this will be a thing. Dunno how long it'll be though.
No, those are all samples, but they didn't come with FL Studio. In fact I didn't use FL Studio at all on that song (even the beat is a sample). If you click on the "info" button next to the song and scroll down you'll see a list of samples.
At least I think I remembered to put one up.
edit: yeah here it is
"Simian Skylights March" - Ergo Phizmiz
"Holly Gets Drunk at The Cassanova Club" - Maltese Falcon Soundtrack
"Radio Prague" - OMD
"Sexy Boy" - AIR
The horn at :10 is from "Cassanova Club" and the bass you're referring to is from "Sexy Boy".
Alright, here's a test track of what I'm working on right now. It's a project focused on mixing Homestuck themes with Touhou themes, something that I've always wanted to do but was never able to.
This is a mix of "Doctor" from Homestuck and the opening theme from Touhou
Thinking about mixing Vriska's theme with Remilia's. Seems propable enough, and the characters have personality similarity (of course, the logical thing would be to mix Vriska with Yamame, but I think I'll decline)
I use Audacity and occasionally the free version of FL Studio, but that's rather specialized to me.
Generally all you need is a mic and whatever instrument(s) you'll be playing, though. Mics aren't too expensive, you can get a decent one for about thirty bucks, I'm told.
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
I sampled tracks 1 and 5. Sounds pretty good. Nice work, Lazuli.
Track 5 kind of reminded me of Mario's underwater stages. I guess that's sort of appropriate.

Yeah, I think the slow beat fits "The Noise Galactica" better than "Swimming! Pt. 2".
I think my favorite so far is "Swimming! Pt. 1". "Jellyfish" is also rather soothing.

I hadn't listened to that one yet. I'd say it's definitely tied for my favorite.

Heyyy it's finally done uploading and stuff.
Here you go.

The plane simulator on Google Earth is simply too ridiculous. Freaking thing can fly underwater.
So I sorta just threw together a track today and it ended up coming out pretty good, so here.
Two Minute Miracle by Chime Bell
edit: I told you to embed goddammit.
oh well.

Do all these samples come with FL Studio?

Things like the muted horn at 0:10 and the bass that starts at 1:11. Did you make those yourself or did they come with the program?
Oh...oh you're talking about "Two Minute Miracle"
I feel silly.

What Touhou game? edit: That link doesn't go anywhere.

Zun just arranges it a bit differently every single time
And the link should work now.
Pretty coolstuffs
Short, but I like it.

The beet tape piece is very relaxing.
This is a Musique Concrete piece inspired by the manga Vagabond.
^^That's one person saying relaxing and someone on another forum saying boring.
Differing opinions I guess. :P
^This is very awesome.
aaaand one last thing.
And with that I think I'm done for the evening.

I am uploading The Beet Tape as we speak.
When I am finished doing so, I will link to it here.
Still wish Bandcamp had a mass-uploader.

Like, you need to make your own recording room.

If not that, MIDI songs or 16Bit mixes.
Yeah, all you'd need for that would be FL Studio, really.
However
FL Studio is expensive unless you're using the free version. I don't know any good alternatives, but Naney might.

You should download it if you like it. OwO
also, check out my beast-ass OFT thread.
It's pretty amazing. B)
Wicked said that too.
Not sure why, was sure the slower one would be more popular. Maybe it's the bubbly noises in the first.
I was thinking more people'd be all over "Thy Phantom"
I suppose it just goes to show you can't read your audience.
Anyway, fun fact "Jellyfish" is about (as much as a song without words can be about) my ex girlfriend.
