I dunno, it's frustrating to see someone who believes that Tumblr teens blogging about social justice issues are always members of oppressed groups discussing their own experiences with prejudice. I mean, there are bloggers like that, for sure, but there's also a good number of bloggers who are basically spoiled white cis kids who want brownie points for showing they care about social justice.

In all fairness, I'm probably biased, because I've had a lot of bad experiences with white people speaking over me on race issues, cis people speaking over me on trans issues, neurotypical people speaking over me on mental illness issues, etc. because the opinions I was expressing weren't the "right" ones. That kinda turned me sour on Tumblr for a while, though I'm mostly over it by now.
I suspect that post is directed more at the types who think that privilege and erasure don't exist, and that Those Damn Kids are all just spoiled brats who need to fall back in line and stop upsetting the Boomers and early X-ers.
Jethro's one of the TVT old guard. He's not so bad, even if some of the stuff he posts about (like the above), isn't exactly my style. Far as the old guard turned intense goes he's at least kinda reasonable (I think; don't follow his stuff), though it helps that he's also been big on the SJ stuff far as my memory goes.
At least I don't hate Jethrock, is my hot take. Shrug
I should maybe go check who I follow on Tumblr again like I sporadically do, but I'm currently in a sweet spot of potentially following too many instead of following any annoying people, so that's nice.

He's an all right guy, and actually has a sense of humour, but he is definitely overzealous. I chalk up part of that to him being Finnish: The kind of problems he encounters are really quite different from what goes on here and he interprets things through that lens. But that's only part of it.
