Also, my best friend and I had a conversation a while ago about just how wonderfully dumb yet subversive the premise of Johnny Bravo was.
I really liked Johnny Bravo season one.
Season two was just sorta standard cartoon antics, seemed like it either took place before season one or was like... an alternative universe or something.
One of the things I really liked is how they implied Johnny wasn't a virgin in an early episode, which made a lot of sense to me.
Even if he's sort of ridiculously overbearing when it comes to the ladies and most find it repulsive, he was also crazy fit and handsome from all appearances. I couldn't help but feel his tactics must work every once in a while...

Lately I've taken to queueing my reblogs instead of reblogging them immediately
Because I'm part of this big web of mutual follows among ex-TVT types, so if I reblog something immediately it'll likely just show up on someone's dashboard twice (my reblog, and whoever I reblogged it from)
If I queue it for later in the day, at least it'll be spaced out some more

That was part of my reasoning for adopting a queue as well.

the line of angry richie riches is kinda horrifying
wait what's the difference between "transgender" and "transgendered" again and for that matter "transsexual" and is there a good reason not to just say "trans*" in casual internet conversation
Some people get irked about "transgendered" because it looks like a past participle, that is something that happened to someone rather than who they are. It's understandable when it comes to personal use but correcting other people on it is pedantic. "Transsexual" is another matter, and can be a bit offensive due to the whole sex/gender thing, so I can understand avoiding it more broadly outside of certain contexts.

^^ I do know at least a couple transgender Linux users, myself included...
i've seen people say the asterisk is bad because, i forget why, like it's saying people who are trans but not transgendered aren't good enough to beat the heap of lies our entire culture is built on, don't you see, there's only emptiness and honeycomb cereal
they're extremely uncommon and widely regarded as a joke (i think? certainly outside tumblr they are); modifying how we use language in any way to avoid being misinterpreted by them would itself be affording them more legitimacy than they merit
Even on Tumblr, trasnethnics and the like are rare. People who identify as universes or robots or dragons or whatever don't really call themselves trans in my experience.
I do not get K-On! really, or rather I do not see the point. I mean, the idea of a show about girls in a Japanese high school forming a band is kind of intriguing, but all signs point to the show never actually building on that. Fluff is fine, but wasting a decent premise on fluff is annoying on principle.

I've read several chapters of the manga, the weird thing is that they totally do do a lot of band stuff, what might even be called plot advancement.
But it's just like, not funny, which is the entire reason I read schoolgirl series.
Also I was reading an old-ass scanlation from like 2005 and the dude kept putting in creepy footnotes about the black-haired girl.

I haven't seen every episode that's aired and I'm still figuring out how I feel about it.
