I've watched Dan vs. into the 2nd season. I stopped right before the episode where the only person that Dan has ever loved decides to marry another guy.
Same, I'd have to give it another look. I do remember really liking the art style, but hating the chibi parts. I don't remember liking much of the man's other works though, especially Speed Racer: The Next Generation. Listening to the intro is bringing back good feelings that I'm not entirely sure about.
Also, I recall being not-too-into Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi at first, then liking it a whole lot. I forgot about it soon after, naturally. While I'm on the subject, "HI HI PUFFY AMIYUMI SHOW" is and always will be my favorite line from the intro.
