Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
No, seriously. It's hard to make something feel or look heart-felt to me if it's just another line in a string of comments. And then, I guess it's kind of a downer to even bring that up?
I'm not sure what I'd say to elevate it above a nicety. But would I want to do that? I don't know if I know you well enough for that to be necessary. I suppose that's what you want, huh? Just a few little "Happy birthdays" and maybe a few jokes? Does that make you feel warm and fuzzy? Is it worth my time to just do that? Sure, I wish you well, but it's not like I care about your birthday specifically compared to another day. I'd like everyone to be happier, and picking one person and one day seems arbitrary.
Well fuck all y'all's culturally derived notions of politeness. I'm wishing Fourier a happy cybernetic_squid's birthday. HA HA HA HA.
(If you're thinking that I'm being a weirdo because I'm butthurt over missing my chance to post a kyrospawn clip, you thought right.)
