  For what it's worth, they mainly pack away fans all in one section for safety in numbers.  Because people get attacked by drunken (or even sober) fans depressingly often when they stray out.

  A story I'm writing has the leads, who are two police officers, sitting at a football game on duty in case people get rowdy, which already sounds like more policing than real life football games have
