Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is the U.S. representative from Florida's 23rd district
she is being opposed for re-election by fellow Democrat and Nova Southeastern University law professor Tim Canova
if you know people who live in FL-23 -- which is basically much of suburban Fort Lauderdale, including where my own parents live -- tell them to vote for Tim Canova
TL;DR blocking efforts from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to clean up the payday loan industry and its tendencies to shaft poor people (plus other issues)
Really I struggle to name presidents that aren't guilty of war crimes.
Which is not me saying it's OK. It's me saying "wow, the world sure is fucked up, huh?"
i was going to say zachary taylor, mister "only in for a year", but then i remembered he had previously been a general and apparently he hunted seminole people with hounds
william henry harrison was in for a month, but also a general
He rejected Tecumseh's claim that all the Indians formed one nation. He said each tribe could have separate relations with the United States if they chose to. Harrison argued that the Great Spirit would have made all the tribes speak one language if they were to be one nation.
Tecumseh launched an "impassioned rebuttal", but Harrison was unable to understand his language.
Buchanan and Andrew Johnson are usually considered the worst, though Johnson is much worse for actual malice in addition to ineptitude. Mostly I just remember Buchanan looks weirdly similar to John Pertwee.
i checked to see who's from washington or oregon (none) and found an interesting fact, which is that obama is one of two presidents to be born a british subject after the establishment of the united states. him and chester a arthur were subjects for a while because their dads were from what were at the times british colonies (kenya and ireland resp.)
i don't see why people had such a problem with that
He was already losing momentum, incessant media jokes about the Dean Scream (which were backed up because the A/V setup made it seem like he was shouting over a quiet crowd when in fact the crowd was loud and he was trying to be heard) only intensified the process
