Perhaps, but what can one woman and one man (and the Bishop of Southwark) really do about Hell in the end? And at the very least, the public knows why it all happened.
I think I might just stay a Glassindividual forever, since I got myself kicked out of court at SotC 5 and the Spectacles are actually more useful than anything else. (Plus right now I'm just grinding up to 200 Watchful so I can finally get that Brass Embassy inner sanctum, so I really don't need any more Watchful-boosting items. Although I'm still gonna get Irrigo-infused goggles, because why wouldn't I?) Also, I love the Mirror-Marches to death.
Someone else is approaching the end and, when asked about how they have their severed head on their mantlepiece but something else equipped in the hat slot, replied:
I went to the Chapel to get St Fortigan's Candle but they told me it was Gawain time and chopped off my head. I was confused so I went back again to make sure, and they chopped my head off again, but I still only have one head. The third time I showed up, they had calmed down, and they let me get St Fortigan's Candle in peace. I replaced my head with an egg, so I'm fine.
I thought I was done with expeditions, but it turns out I need one more for Heart's Desire. So while I was waiting to draw the Amanuensis again (because I spent all my notability on a Favorable Circumstance) I took a quick trip to Corpsecage to do some research and grab a Plated Seal.
Then I came back, shortly drew the Amanuensis, and am now back to playing infinity chess matches forever.
Also: I got into the Zubmariner beta! They said not to share text or screenshots, and it's probably going to be a buggy mess either way (wouldn't need betas otherwise), but nonetheless I'm excited.
So I decided to try out a subscription, if only because I don't want to have to think "wait, have I been playing Overwatch so long I maxed out my actions?"
Naturally, I immediately run into decision paralysis on entering the House of Chimes. Maybe I'll just wait until I'm at 21 actions to decide, just because I can.
OK, I feel like "A Visionary" is my character in the broadest sense, "A Wanderer of Parabola" would be awesome if I had the required dreams (I've been sort of ignoring any dream that isn't free or What The Thunder Said), and "A Liar of Liars" seems like the hardest one to achieve that I have but it's kind of a lame description.
But ultimately "A Font of Devil's Tears" is funniest, so I'm gonna go with that.
"What are you doing down here? Why can't you leave well enough alone? How would you both like to b____r off back to the Surface and leave real Londoners to get on with real life? Did you really spend a year looking for the Nadir without even knowing what it was? Who are you people?"
Man, the Sardonic Music-Hall Singer is almost as bad for my deck as the Merry Gentleman. I think I'm gonna have to cut that acquaintance off next chance I get.
Either that, or move to a Remote Address in Parabola somehow.
Theological Husbandry Extended: So I sold out the Bishop to Hell. Their reaction was a little more extreme than anticipated. "Take these, wear one always. Perhaps you could give the other to anyone you might happen to care about. If you still care about people. It's possible they could be spared the coming amusements."
I kinda wish I could sell my Bookshop key. I don't really care for scrap grinding, if I want contracts I'll take them hand over fist at Watchmaker's, and my character's a little embarrassed at this reminder that they were once content with books and thin walls instead of sulfurous warmth and infernal luxury.
I'm pretty sure that if you're the kind of person who smuggles souls, you don't want to do it within spitting distance of your competitors
I mean, if there's a soul in or near the Brass Embassy, some dashing devil already has their eye on it. And if we've learned anything, it's that you don't fight a devil unless you have reason
You get a free Fate item, with 3 of them being locked to your career. Which would be fine except: Fixer gets a... +8 Dangerous, +1 Dreaded weapon. Because as we all know, Dangerous weapons are hard to get. Meanwhile, Campaigner gets +5 Watchful, +1 Respectable boots.
I guess because there's not a lot of ways to realistically make someone more Watchful with their shoes?
I was split between Campaigner and Fixer, but those boots tipped the scale for me since even marginal improvements to Watchful help at this point. Although it seems like the easiest to advance would have been the Agitator, just because all they have to do is a Flash Lay.

I never expected a choice where one of the options is "burn down an orphanage" to be so hard.
I razed it to the ground.

Its original owner is pretty alright, but the look on the Gentleman's face though.
Oh no, they have infinite morale!
Chose the ending where I ate the gift, being me and all. Some things are worth more than material rewards.
Home is where the heart is.

Sounds like you did him a favor.
