A lot of native English speakers struggle with “ts” at the beginning of a word because that’s not something that really occurs in English except in loanwords. Think of how many times you’ve heard an American treat the t in tsunami as silent…

For me, specifically, though, my speech impediment makes it hard to say “ts” anywhere in a word. Iss not fair!

If you really want to confuse people, pronounce it “tundere” like you’re misunderstanding Nihon-siki
