Even as a kid, I knew it was stupid that the trees that the sparrows live in were as big as real-life trees, but somehow Redwall had an orchard tended by mice. Like, they didn't even try to hide it in the animated series that the scale of the trees didn't work.

I watched a documentary about The Emperor's New Groove and how it went from being a romantic musical epic thing called Kingdom of the Sun to being the buddy comedy we know it as today
I feel like it would have probably been a good film with time if they went with its original storyline, but of course the executives at Disney weren't satisfied with it and retooled it a ton; the final film is still a really good one (I'm watching it now and it does still hold up), but of course you can't help but wonder what it could have been
either way Eartha Kitt would've been involved and she was easily the best part of it, so there's that
My stance is what happened with the people who worked on the original film was a shame, and that the original film probably would've been very good.
However, it would've been in an idiom I have zero interest in, so as someone who really likes The Emperor's New Groove, I'm pretty content with the way things worked out.
