Why is Daffy Duck less popular than Bugs Bunny?

I find him more spontaneous and more relatable, yet he was never quite the face of the Warner animation department the way Bugs is.

Donald Duck is only second to Mickey because #branding, but Daffy being second honestly fits with his character so much I don't mind it
