  ^^ That's possible, but it could also be that the photographer just had them pose for the shot and didn't pay attention to the equipment.

  
  

  Also I guessed it correctly but I couldn't tell whether the cable that seems to be right in front of the mixer was actually connected to anything.

  Not only isn't the power in, but there are no MIDI cables anywhere near the thing.
