Eat Up, Wall Street!: Who would buy DC Comics?
Let's just say that the owner of DC Comics somehow disintegrates, and as a result, DC becomes an independent company, DC Entertainment, for the first time in half a century, trading on the NYSE with the symbol DC. It would own the DC comic book operations, a bevy of iconic characters, a film and TV studio known as DC Studios, and a library of movies and TV series that includes the Adam West Batman, Super Friends, every modern Batman and Superman movie*, Batman: The Animated Series and everything spinning off from it, Teen Titans, Lois & Clark, Smallville, and the Arrowverse.
As this thing would be irresistible to Big Media, who would buy it? Assuming that Disney is not in the running. Go ahead and put Warner Bros. and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer/Turner in the running too.
*in this universe, no entries in the DCEU other than Man of Steel exist, as a different path was taken
