No it's fucking not. Jones is a great author but it's clear she's not up on modern statistical physics, let alone with the complications of magnetism. The fantasy setting of the Related Worlds is intriguing, as is Chris's strikingly dark life, but superconducting magnets rarely if ever enter those worlds, and even if they did it's doubtful that the mathematics necessary for even a cursory understanding of Cooper pairs could enter the plot smoothly, even with Jones's prose.

I don't know why people keep saying this.
