Derailing a thread might be something like Chancellor of the Annex; enemy must spend some mana to cast spells.

No clue what Ritual of the Machine (or rootwater Diver) would be, or prismatic ward, or channel.

The color pie's more or less based on the categories I chose for the lands.

White's for administrator stuff. Anything along the lines of banning, editing or locking falls under White (Mod privilege translates into Vigilance).

Black's for NSFW stuff, nightblogging, and the emotions thread, as Black is the most honest color (oddly enough) and those are the areas where honesty thrives on this site.

Blue's mostly being used for site functions. Timestamps and whatnot. I also invented a race of tiny homunculi called Scrips who are in charge of making the site function. Lee's going to be their commander; it's going to be awesome.

Red's for artistic stuff, roleplaying (which blue has as a secondary) and random posts. 

Green's for general stuff. The day-to-day grind of the heap. The things here that are most likely to be called 'normal' out of context. 

^ That's actually a good idea for thread derailing. Now it's just a matter of deciding which colour it goes into, and what kind of card it should be.

I was going to go with Centie or Centrali, but the first wasn't princessy enough and the second one, I worried it may be confusing. 

I'm quite fond of this card, actually. Take Serra Angel, swap out Flying, and add a spot destruction mechanic for the black mana. It also works perfectly on a flavour level. Combine Centie's royalty with her general dislike for authority that isn't her own. It's more white-black than some white-black cards.

With these two, I wanted to emphasize power. In Heaper lore, these guys are essentially gods, and I wanted playing them to evoke that (without, you know, ripping off Theros). The way it's set up, you don't pay much in mana, just enough to show that, yes, you are playing the appropriate colors. Instead, you pay in effort. With Lord Cetacea (AKA Wailord), the cost of casting him is time. You have to ensure that you survive until the ninth turn (which is difficult considering everybody knows Wailord's coming), which means exploiting blue's control abilities to their fullest. With Hellephant, you pay in vulnerability. You have to ensure that you survive with half your life, while ensuring that Hellephant doesn't get countered or nuked. This requires good use of red's mana destruction, black's discarding effects and life draining, and their mutual creature destruction. If you manage to successfully cast them, then you are justifiably rewarded.

Right. Explanations. 

I was trying to make it a foil to Stairbed of Yon. Similar structure, similar mana cost, but differing in both effects. That's why I chose the flavor text as I did (So the inane wildcat called worshipers to his steps in the catacombs, and the ferret god called his own to his altar in the heavens).

As for the color choice, besides the obvious reference (which I wasn't even thinking of at the time), the interaction between white and red tends to downplay the law aspects. White-Red (or Boros, as it's often called) is more about tempered emotion. Passion and impulse that's channeled towards goals rather than going all willy-nilly. And, well, I get that feeling from Sredni a lot.

I'm also clearly not white, I'm about as far from being an admin as you can get. Considering my computers, I'm not on the side of site functions.

That leaves green, blue, and red. Green is obvious for me, so the question is whether I am green- blue, Green blue red, green red, or green. Any are acceptable to me.

You'd actually be a pretty good pick for Green/White. Yeah, white in the context of Khans of Heaperia is admin territory, but white in general is about the health of the group and the good of the existing system. Not going to let my homebrew. system disrupt the true meaning behind the colors. I think I might give Green/Blue to Imi instead.

And while I'm on the topic, @Crystal and @Byakuren would probably end up as Green, as would Miko (sorry for getting to this so late). And I might have a card idea for Pyr and Miko.

Alright, I've succinctly decided that Aliroz is going to be RGW. Emotional, Nature-based, Peace-seeking. 

From there, I look at existing RGW cards for inspiration, and find nothing worthwhile because most of the RGW rares and mythic rares are giant beatsticks. So, I fall back on color conceptions. The central color of RGW is G. What's green-related and instrinsically Alirozian. Land. Aliroz cares about environments. Valleys. Underground springs. The parts of Arizona that don't suck. So, the card's power is based around land, and how much of it you have.

Now, how do I relate it to R and W? There are dozens of things that you can do with lands. Turn them into creatures, make a creature with X/X with X being the number of lands you're packing. But whatever it is, it needs to be repeatable (else it should be a sorcery) and it shouldn't be game-breaking (since I'm saving mythic rare status for certain cards). And anything based on land, especially in a deck with green in it, can easily get out of hand. We go back to what I know. What's my favorite land-related card? Exploration. One additional land per turn. Now, what do we combine that with? Landfall, that's what.

I feel like I need other set symbols.

It's abnormal for a set to have this many legendaries in it. Normally, all the legendary cards in a certain plane are split up between three mini-sets that fall under the same name. The Ravnica megablock, for example, had three mini-blocks under it: Ravnica: City of Guilds, Guildpact and Dissension (all of which are really interesting sets). But I don't have any other set symbols besides the default Heaper one, so everything's just getting lumped into the same set.
