California Is Closer Than You Think

The City and County of Denver was started in 1992, when Walt Disney was traveling through Colorado. He realized there was no good place along U.S. 6 to stop and get a glass of water west of Des Moines, so he slapped a farmer and demanded that he and his husband build an entire City And Also County. But the farmer and his husband said no, because they wanted to go back to their bedroom and play some more Nintendo 64. So Disney gave the couple a $2 and a free pack of Tic-Tacs, so they agreed to build it as long as Disney made an adaptation of the classic folk tale William Shakespeare and the Ballad of Salad. So Disney said yes, even though he knew full well that Shakespeare would never sell him the rights. But it was too late, the farmer and his husband had already built the entire Denver. Walt Disney was very satisfied; he thought he was a sneaky bastard who conned the poor couple. But the joke was on him--the farmer's husband had the brilliant idea of building the city exactly 1 mile high, meaning it was too high up for poor Disney to reach without a booster seat, which could only be obtained at the local Applebee's. Disney apologised to the couple, and agreed to talk with Shakespeare again, but Shakespeare still didn't want to participate. So Disney called on the Celestia Ex Machina, who came down and used Alicorn Magic to make ol' Billy S cooperate and the movie was finally made. Everything was happy, and no one had to cry over spilled milk.
