A+E Networks and the roving Hitler footage

Man, anybody remember the old days of cable TV, when big-time networks like Cartoon Network and A+E only had the budget for a few series? They'd fill out air time with whatever they could get cheap.

For CN, it was Turner's huge library of Scooby-Doo. For A&E, it was World War II documentaries. They had so many of the darn things that, as they grew, they moved Hitler to his own channel, The History Channel. But History itself grew, becoming a venue for a variety of academically respectable subjects like reality shows, the ancient astronaut hypothesis, and Nostradamus. Enter Military History. Verily, so long as there is an A+E, there will be a Hitler, and plenty of him.
