The Paranoid World of Thomas Pynchon

So, by popular request*, a thread for all things Pynchon.

Myself, I consider Gravity's Rainbow my favorite book, and V. and The Crying of Lot 49 are up there too. I haven't attempted his other four novels yet, with the exception of Against the Day, which I have more mixed feelings about. But GR is one of those rare books where I can turn to almost any page and find something inspirational.

TP apparently once said that "every weirdo in the world is on my wavelength" making him an appropriate literary figure for the HH, I think. At least, he often lives up to our motto of "nonsense is good".
