The GI Joe PSAs

I think they depict the GI Joes after the war with Cobra is over and they're back in civilian life.

Some have gotten jobs:

Some are raving drunks:

Some are rediscovering their family lives:

Some still wander in their old equipment trying to recapture the glory days:

But most of them have gone completely insane:

And are plagued by flashbacks and strange tics:

In this way, the GI Joe PSAs are powerful condemnations of war and the failure of society to reintegrate its veterans and provide the psychiatric care that they need. Truly they are the most important parable of our time.

Maybe Cobra figured out that rather than turn money into sand and clone dinosaurs, he can do much more damage letting a bunch of vets who had to deal with money turning into sand and fighting dinosaurs roam around with too much free time.

    ...Maybe he was right...
  • Aren't those parodies done by some guy back in '03?

Also, the guy in the "Fridge" one looks like Saxton Hale.
