Why is Daffy Duck less popular than Bugs Bunny?

I find him more spontaneous and more relatable, yet he was never quite the face of the Warner animation department the way Bugs is.

    Well, I always wondered why Donald Duck is less popular than Mickey Mouse.

    Probably just that the public at large has bad taste.
