Brooks T Moore, or Zac Fine?

Which do you prefer to narrate How It's Made?

  • ...both are good
  • also I need you to know that I’m watching it on my iPad now specifically due to this post

this one is about the wire bundles inside tires, and it’s narrated by Moore

This confused me because How It's Made has always been narrated by a woman when I've seen it.

    I have discovered that:
    1. The show is Canadian apparently?
    2. The American version has the entire narration dubbed over by a different person so it can use non-metric units.

    My questions are:
    1. How is the US even real?
    2. Wouldn't it be much cheaper to get the same person to do both versions and only replace the parts where they actually say a metric unit?

    THIS MACHINE KILLS FASCISTS
TO my understanding, the show is produced the way it is so that every market can provide their own voice-over staff (and adjust the units and, well, the puns accordingly). And yes, it's produced in Montreal.

    embrace the confusion
Zac Fine only did it for a few years and then Brooks Moore came back. I wonder if they actually got complaints, or maybe noticed people talking about it on social media. I find Moore's voice much more pleasant, and it's jarring to unexpectedly hear Fine instead.
