So yeah if these fires could stop that would be really great.
I've been coughing for about 2 weeks since it started, there's this soot that I notice sootiness building up on my counter-tops and while I'm not close enough to a fire to have it pose a evacuation, living close to the mountains means the wind gets to blanket the valley I live in with that light-gray haze. Can't even see the mtns anymore.

The sprague fire in Glacier Nat'l park is just 3 different fires who decided to combine their powers to wipe out Montana. The largest one is the Rice Ridge, which hit 132,000 acres a couple days ago.

Really hoping Montana doesn't become the Black state when this all ends, if it does.

We have a smoke season here in my valley.  Stupid airtrap system.

I look at the maps of these fires and it boggles my mind how big it is.

nah its fine to tell jokes the fires aren't as bad as the hurricane stuff

plus its my fault for wishing "America would burn" when I was younger

its just burning where I live first.

they're both contained now but there was a period where both my apartment and buttercrispy's were a mountain range away from a big fire

This fire season has been fun bc there's actually brush from getting good rain? so it's not like we're caught unawares down here, we knew it was coming. my sister and i have been getting good mileage out of the stupid camp song about the chicago fire

there literally are plants that have reproductive cycles that depend on fire

not many though

and also they often also depend on the fire burning cool enough

so if the fire burns too hot due to having too much dry brush it doesn't work
