Realtalk I feel kinda guilty using any establishment that didn't exist during my childhood

It feels like I'm saying it's OK for the 1990s to be over, which it obviously isn't
  • ok i gotta know why is it obviously not ok for the 1990s to be over

Suppose that you were in an unfamiliar town and didn't know which establishments were around in the 1990s and which weren't? Huh? What then?

Because that would mean the destruction of the world I knew as a child.

Also, suburban sprawl is tacky and bad.

Yeah, same here. You'd be surprised how much it can hurt to get rid of a couch that you knew since you were a baby. TO get rid of a bookstore where you made your great friends. To see a church you loved demolished.

    Uncomfortable makes sense.

But there's a huge leap from "This makes me uncomfortable" to "This is morally wrong", and the latter is what you started the thread off with.

I assumed the "morally wrong" thing was one of those "funny at 9 pm" kinda jokes
