  • You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
You don't think another show of the same caliber will come along?

You don't think another show of the same caliber will come along?

I do, though that doesn't make GF any less unique, with how there's only one. Although I also hope and think we'll get another GF eventually, or something like it in some capacity.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
I'm not finished it yet, and I like shows that actually end, so... *shrug*

GF will always have a special place in my heart, but there are other good cartoons
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat

doesn't feel like it will be anytime soon

    how does SU compare?
  • imagei will watch the heck outta this pumpkin patch
idk i sort of feel like we're living in a time with a lot of exciting and daring American animation, which makes it seem likely there's more to come

GF was one of the best but i wouldn't have said it was leagues ahead of some of the other recent/ongoing shows (my favourite being OtGW)
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
I kind of want to see what the generation of kids raised on stuff like Gravity Falls but with all the access the Internet provides to older shows and animation from other countries will make in twenty years.
  • Touch the cow. Do it now.
Star vs. is still going on! Although I think CA and I are the only ones who like it
  • imagei will watch the heck outta this pumpkin patch
i like it but i have a fair bit of catching up to do!

although i never rated it as high as GF or SU, for me it's like, Very Good-tier, just not, 'Wow'-tier
  • We can do anything if we do it together.
    I'm okay with Star.
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
    what tach said

I'm like that but an adult, if that makes sense

actually the St Olga's episode was probably top tier for me

maybe i should rewatch the episodes i did see before i watch the rest
  • Munch munch, chomp chomp...
Any episode with Toffee in it is to me a step above the standard jokes, as well as one I will personally like. And as of late, Ludo, though he's slowly but steadily rising for me. Hopefully in time it'll be "The Toffee plus Ludo episodes are my favorite." Sure there were episodes with them together in the past, just as a character he was rather boring to me, largely being an ostensibly fiercer MOTW.

i know Anonus will disagree with this, but i still feel like Adventure Time is something quite special

in fact this feeling gets stronger the further into it i get, as far as i've watched it starts good and gets better and better
  • We can do anything if we do it together.
I dug Adventure Time when I watched it, but not much has stuck with me other than the Ice King and Marceline.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
I have been meaning to get back to it for literal years.
  • imagei will watch the heck outta this pumpkin patch
Marceline and the Ice King are arguably the best characters

but Finn and Jake themselves are very lovable and entertaining

then you have Princess Bubblegum who can be downright unsettling at times

i really liked 'Princess Day' (the Thelma and Louise parody) cuz LSP and Marceline turned out to be the perfect double act
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
...OK, Marceline with Lumpy Space Princess sounds like the comedy gold tag team I never knew I wanted in my life.
  • Munch munch, chomp chomp...
I still don't like LSP, around half a season in. Hopefully I like LSP as she appears more later on.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
I love LSP. She is just the right flavour of obnoxious.
  • Munch munch, chomp chomp...
For me it's like, the joke works. Just not for me. And I can respect that.

i feel the same as Vash, personally.
  • Munch munch, chomp chomp...
Personally, how dare, and second of all how dare.
  • imagei will watch the heck outta this pumpkin patch
Well i mean, if you didn't like her at the start i don't really expect you to like her later on, iirc she hasn't changed a huge deal.

    i could be mistaken.
  • Munch munch, chomp chomp...
I'm being goofy I just think "how dare" is fun to say.
  • imagei will watch the heck outta this pumpkin patch
    (i know)
  • Munch munch, chomp chomp...
    Kawhoops.

i've noticed i often say 'well i mean' and then i say something that's not really anything to do with what i said before

    I also do this sometimes.
  • ...And even when your hope is gone
move along, move along, just to make it through
    (2015 self)
A show of similar caliber, arguably better, already came along. It was called Granite Flats.

And it was forced to end before it's time.

At least you guys got a satisfying ending with the other kiddie mystery small-town show called GF.
  • My dreams exceed my real life
Small towns with a dark secret shows have a minor curse on them.

It was put there when the writing staff of Twin Peaks decided what the show really needed was for the Hong-Kong Mafia to show up
  • There was that one 90s show also.

Live action, don't recall the name off hand, it was like twin peaks for kids.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
I think I may know what you're talking about but the name entirely eludes me.

Anyway, nearing the end of Gravity Falls and I AM SO HYPE YOU GUYS.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
I have finished the first episode of "Weirdmageddon".

This may be one of the greatest finales to a television show that I have ever seen.
  • Munch munch, chomp chomp...
    Yeah that is remarkable.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
    That was perfect.

    Goodnight, folkles!

    Eerie, Indiana?

I remember Fox Kids rerunning that in like 2000 and it having a Wendy's tie-in

    yes that one
