Problems of being unusually observant: You sometimes draw conclusions without realizing why you did

I was at Taco Bell. There was one bicycle outside. 

I went inside, saw a gentleman eating at a table by himself, and thought "Oh, that must be his bike outside."

Then I was like "wait, why did I think that?"

And I had to think about it for a moment before I realized: he was the only customer (other than myself) dining alone. Everyone else was dining with at least one other person.

That doesn't prove anything, of course, but it seemed like a reasonable conclusion once I reasoned myself through it.
